A concise depiction of eternity. This musical palimpsest (the first piece of the second concert) is neither static nor in motion. It is hovering, like a ghost, in "smooth time". Dream or nightmare ? One is haunted by a slight nagging suspicion of unreality. This project was initially called 'Unheimlich' in reference to the Freudian concept of 'the uncanny' ("l'inquiétante étrangeté", a form of cognitive dissonance 'where something can appear both familiar yet alien at the same time, resulting in a feeling of it being uncomfortably strange'). Indeed, these were not intended as formal "concerts", but rather sonic spaces, designed as mood-altering immersive experiences.
